Five of eight militants killed in Dagestan come from Kazakhstan

Five of the eight members of the group killed in Dagestan in the course of a special operation conducted on July 28 carried passports of Kazakh citizens, report law enforcement agencies.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported previously that an armed fight occurred during the night of July 28 near the Dagestan capital, which, according to the information of the public relations group of the republic's FSS department, resulted in killing a group of eight militants. According to preliminary data of the power authorities, it was assumed that there might be foreign mercenaries among the victims.

"According to the operational data and using the passports found at the site of the battle its has been established that five of the eight militants killed on Wednesday near Makhachkala are citizens of Kazakhstan", cites "Gazeta.Ru" its source at the law enforcement agencies.

According to the law enforcement agencies, the victims were members of the group headed by Omar Ramazanov killed earlier in the course of a special operation on June 12 in Makhachkala.
