Azerbaijan: indictment announced at the trial on explosion in "Abu-Bekr" Mosque

On July 6, the Azerbaijani Court on Grave Crimes continued considering the case of the grouping named "Forest Brothers" and accused of a series of crimes, including the act of terror "Abu-Bekr" Mosque. The state accuser Murvet Gasanov announced the indictment.

According to the document, citizens of Azerbaijan Elnur Bashirov, Gudrat Melikov, Khalid Valimatov, Ulfat Melikov, Vakhis Asadov, Zabit Shikhbabaev, Fariz Mamedov, Samir Babaev, Anar Valimatov, Rasim Iskanderoov, Elshan Allahverdiev, Rifat Agadzanov, Yalekh Magerramov, Teimur Narimanov, Bozorgi Kyamran, Azer Bakhyshov, Mussa Orudzhev, Alexander Nuraliev, Mamed Mamedov, Elkhan Osmanov, Zaur Dzhafarov, Rufat Rzaev, Sardar Bunyatov, Russian citizen Magomed Isaev, Turkish citizens Yamin Ali and Ozdemir Ergin, having entered a criminal affiliation with Ilgar Mollachiev, also known as "Abdulmedzhid", his relative Samir Mekhdiev, also known as "Suleiman", wanted to provoke disorders in Azerbaijan and act against Azerbaijani statehood. With this aim in mind, they obtained arms from some unknown source and then decided to make an explosion in "Abu-Bekr" Mosque, as reported by the APA Agency.

Some of the defendants, while answering questions, have partially admitted their guilt, others insisted on their innocence. The trial will continue till July 7, the "Vesti.az" Agency reports.
