Ahmed Sultygov: preacher Kartoev was killed for truth in Ingushetia

Attempts on religious leaders in Ingushetia are committed because they are not afraid to answer any question. This was stated by Ahmed Sultygov, chairman of the PR division of the Administration of Ingushetia, when he spoke about the murder of preacher Abdurakhman Kartoev, 85.

The "Caucasian Knot" already wrote that on June 14 religious figure Abdurakhman Kartoev was first kidnapped in Ingushetia and then found murdered.

Under the official version, Kartoev was kidnapped on June 6 from Ordzhonikidzevskaya village on his way back from his brother. Criminals forced him into a car and took away in an unknown place. The body of assassinated Kartoev, 85, was found in the irrigation canal near the "Kavkaz" Federal Highway in the suburb of Troitskaya village. The body had visible traces of violent death.

Relatives of the casualty have another version. "This time he was on his way to the commemoration party of Isa Tochiev, Lieutenant Colonel of the drugs control service, killed by a car explosion. He was on his way but never reached the destination; he found himself in someone's way," said one of the relatives who preferred not to name himself.

According to the own source of the "Caucasian Knot", many religious figures have to hire their own bodyguards, preferably from among their relatives and friends, but it is still expensive, and not all of them can afford it.
