A child was wounded by mine explosion in Chechnya

In the mountainous Vedeno District of Chechnya a small boy was wounded by explosion of an unidentified mine or bomb. He was hospitalized in the state of medium gravity.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Chechen Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) that the incident took place on June 14 in the afternoon in the outskirt of Dyshni-Vedeno village. A second-form pupil of the local school was wounded when the explosive that he occasionally found blew up.

"The child received plural fragmental wounds and was hospitalized. At present, his state is of medium gravity. Law enforcers are now clearing out the circumstances of how the explosive occurred in the suburb of the settlement. Besides, the area adjoining the place of the incident was inspected by sappers; however, no other explosive matters were found," the MfE has reported.
