Out of victims on November 7, 2007, in Tbilisi only three filed complaints to European Court

Out of six hundred victims of dispersal of the protest action on November 7, 2007, in the capital of Georgia, only five persons have addressed human rights activists, and complaints of three of them were sent to the European Court on Human Rights. This was stated by advocate Liya Mukhashavriya, chair of the NGO named "Priority of Human Rights".

"We made a public announcement that we'd represent the victims' interests, but almost nobody responded. In total, five persons have addressed us," Ms Mukhashavriya said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Simon Papuashvili, a lawyer of the Human Rights Centre, explains the small number of applications by poor knowledge by Georgians of their opportunities to complain to the ECtHR.
