Six poisoned soldiers get treated in Azerbaijan

After a poisoning that happened on May 26 in one of military units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, six soldiers are still in hospital. 158 militaries have been already discharged and sent back to their unit.

Earlier, it was reported that on May 26, in Azerbaijan, at the general army training centre of the Ministry of Defence, deployed in a suburb of Baku, over 200 servicemen got poisoned. According to victims, during supper they were given some canned fish, which could presumably be the cause of poisoning.

The IA "News-Azerbaijan" reports that doctors estimate the health condition of the six soldiers still treated at the military hospital as satisfactory. According to the press service of Ministry of Defence, in total 164 soldiers were brought to examination in the evening on May 26.

We remind you that on February 2 this year a mass carbon oxide poisoning happened in Gasanly village, Massalin District of Azerbaijan, when six persons were hospitalized.

In November 2007 in Azerbaijan several criminals poisoned 17 schoolchildren in two schools of Khyrdalan. Unknown people came to the territory of two city schools and told children that "it was the holiday of water" on that day and distributed bottles with soft drinks among them. Later, the kids had temperature rise and 17 of them were diagnosed a heavy food poisoning.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported earlier that in October 2007 a mass shashlik (shish kebab) poisoning was registered in the capital of Azerbaijan; this meal is traditionally sold in Baku streets. Over 50 adults and children got poisoned then, many of them were hospitalized. Experts from the sanitary laboratory revealed during the check that Turkish fast food was cooked in anti-sanitary conditions.
