In Tskhinvali, a crowded funeral procession with the body of Inal Djabiev, who died after his detention by law enforcers, reached the centre of the city. The President of South Ossetia and parliament members joined the funeral procession.

Russia has handed Falig Valiev over to Azerbaijan; Valiev had been put on the international wanted list on charges of links with militants, the country's State Security Service (SSS) has reported.

Nikolai Tskhovrebov, detained within the attempt case on the head of the South-Ossetian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), was hospitalized with traces of beatings; he cannot walk, the hospital staff has stated. Another suspect, Gennady Kulaev, has been denied advocates' access for a week; information has appeared that he had been beaten and tortured with electric current.

The exchange of Azerbaijani citizens, Shakhbaz Guliev and Dilgam Askerov, convicted in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), for Armenian prisoners is impossible, as it will pose a threat to the safety of residents of border villages, experts in Armenia believe. The court considers a case against Khasanbi Indreev, a native of Kabardino-Balkaria, accused of complicity in terrorism. Khasanbi Indreev was sentenced for aiding and abetting militants, but the criminal case against him was artificially divided into two, the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" reported.
