The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has appointed 60,000 euros of compensation to each of the following residents of North Ossetia: Rustam Tsurov, Umar Khadziev and Alikhan Ozdoev, who are serving long prison terms on terrorism charges. The ECtHR found a violation of the articles of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) on the prohibition of torture and the right to a fair trial.

The film "Goryanki" (Mountain Women) by Maryam Makhieva, a filmmaker from Kabardino-Balkaria, covers a conflict of the traditional culture and Islam that was reborn in Northern Caucasus in the 1990s, said Anastasia Rytsina, the film producer. The Supreme Court (SC) of Dagestan has granted a complaint against a court's refusal to institute a case on negligence and forgery by an official against the former chief of the Shamil OVD (Interior Division), who declared the Gasanguseinov brothers as terrorists. Murtazali Gasanguseinov, a father of the killed brothers, is satisfied with the decision pronounced by the Dagestani SC.

Two officers and three soldiers were hospitalized in severe condition after a mine explosion in the Tartar District. Since November 10, 2020, the total number of Azerbaijani residents blown up on mines has reached 74, the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan reported.

The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has recognized a complaint filed by Roman Gastemirov, a resident of Chechnya, about torture by the police in 2005 as justified and awarded him 50,000 euros in compensation.

In Baku, women came to the US Embassy to hold an action in defence of political prisoners. The police seized posters from the protestors' hands and pushed the female activists, including spouses of Polad Aslanov and Afghan Sadygov, away from the building.

The inmates kept at the special detention centre in Volgograd have not enough clean bedding; there are no hygiene means there; and detainees are not given medicines, Evgeny Kochegin, the coordinator of Alexei Navalny's Volgograd office, has complained. He intends to appeal against his arrest at the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR).
