It's painful and nastily from what happens in Tbilisi. It's not democracy, it's an absurdist theatre! Why Abkhazians, Ossetians or NATO? It'd be nice to understand what happens here!

What happens in Tbilisi can be briefly characterized like that: rot is bleeding out of a certain part of society, which today is not even split – no! The Georgian society has no foothold.

Yes, what happens in Tbilisi – iron cages placed everywhere in central city; but there are no people inside; they spread the cages, blocked traffic everywhere; and then everybody left, our oppositionists are asleep; but nobody removes the cages, the authorities believe that in this way they'll be more successful... Here's the picture, the city centre is blocked, and those who blocked are, at least now, at 11:00 a.m., no more than 40 in number.

===================================================

The hesitant president, whose tactics is clear: here you are, people, look, these "degenerates" are my alternative you don't want me to disperse them, you are welcome, let them dream up. Aren't you sick and tired of these "characters", deprived of slightest self-respect!

The "opposition" is echoing, as if ignorant of their ugly nakedness – we'll fight to the end; we are the people of Georgia! But silence is around... Miserable 10,000. Yes, exactly so, because 5-10,000 is not a figure for Georgia! Miserable 10,000, who come to look what the opposition is going to offer them... And here, they are on the stage...

 ALAS... old familiar faces. And where's the opposition? Oh, sorry, here they are, we just couldn't guess.

A "greyish suit" – Mr Alasaniya, a typical bureaucrat of all times and nations; Nino Burdzhanadze, a woman who has tried, apparently, all branches of power, but remaining at a loose end, and so anxious of the fate of poor Georgia… And, oh, yes, our macho, a tough guy Levan Gachechiladze, a former businessman, who had once produced wine with label "Misha", but then he quarrelled with the president.

They are great sufferers, our fighters for justice... Yes, I forgot, in evenings they bring in a cage to the square a brother of the opposition leader, singer "Utsobi", who starts howling "Givi, go out!", and at the same time promises to pull out this rabbit Misha out his office by ears... It should be understood as a cry of despair of the Georgian "puffin"... It's so disguising, all that, so vexing for these unfortunate people, who are losing ground under their feet and already have no hope that in Georgia there's still something strong and fair, which can change their life for the better; but what's most important – it's too late for them to get changed...

I personally despise Saakashvili's tactics, because it's cowardly, Misha is afraid of a handful of Tbilisi ex-bureaucrats and ex-businessmen, who have no support...

What kind of state is it, when yesterday both power and culture figures spoke strange things from central TV Channels: "People themselves should find the truth and indicate to the oppositions that they are wrong."

Sorry, but how? How should people find the truth themselves???? What should they do: go and start a scuffle... And the police, and our noble policemen, full of strength and health with salaries – envy for most of their colleagues in CIS countries; what should they do, watch and not interfere... Is it democracy???

And then, permanently overexcited and foamy Misha will ride over Europe and report in his shrill voice about the wisdom of Georgian nation?

There's no wisdom, there's no power, now Georgia is flooded with apathy and disappointment... The only thing that whips up the society is the annoying and obstinate Russia, which has made "David" out of Misha… Actually, here is a chance for a smile: Misha versus Vova, David versus Goliath.

And where's western money? What was it spent for, where are democratic institutes, where are students and youth who spent it, where are new, ideologically advanced Georgians? Why everyone keeps silent???

Oh, yes, I know, we are often a haughty nation, too "shameful" for us to get involved in politics, let them do it... And we better stand aside. Advanced students watch all that with scepsis, they laugh; yes, I know, maybe, it's fine... But, if they stay in Georgia, they'll have to live here.

And again I recollect my favourite Georgian film "Tree of Desires" – nobody, except for madmen, tried to help poor Marita... Nothing has changed since then!

==============

 Who cares what Emptiness will say

Under their hats, toppers and kepis!

Who cares! – Such nakedness

Is more brilliant than all the brilliancies!
