Manana Aslamazyan's case ended with a 1000 roubles fine

Journalist Manana Aslamazyan, head of the "Educated Media" Foundation and director of the "Internews" organization, against whom an administrative offence case was initiated earlier this July, was fined by one thousand roubles.

The journalist was found guilty of breaching Article 16.4 of Russian Administrative Code ("Failure to declare money brought across the territory of the country"). Now, after 10 day, the court ruling will enter its force, then, it should be enforced within 30 day, reported the Sheremetyevo Customs, where the case was investigated.

Most probably, the respondent will not argue with the authorities, the "Interfax" remarks. Her advocate Victor Parshutkin had stated earlier that Aslamazyan would agree with the appointed official penalty and was ready to pay the fine.

The journalist's brother was present at the case hearing and listened to the ruling about the fine of one thousand roubles, the "Echo Moskvy" Radio reports.
