A fighter from the Astrakhan region was killed in the military operation.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by September 16, the authorities and security forces officially recognized at least 763 military personnel from the Astrakhan region as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

In the Krasnoyarsk district, they said goodbye to 37-year-old Albert Sitkaziev, who was killed in the area of the special military operation.

Sitkaziev was born and raised in the village of Verkhny Buzan. He graduated from the 9th grade of the Verkhnebuzanskaya secondary school. In 2008, he served in the military. He then worked in various organizations on a rotational basis. In August 2025, Albert Valeryevich signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and became a participant in the special operation. He was 37 years old, reported the administration of the Krasnoyarsk municipal district on its Telegram channel.

Thus, at least 764 fighters from the Astrakhan region have been officially recognized as killed. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives of the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District who were killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and security agencies, according to the report of "Caucasian Knot" "Statistics of the Special Military Operation: losses are increasing for southern Russia".

Earlier, in mid-August, the administration of the Krasnoyarsk municipal district reported that in the military operation Ivan Ketroshan, Radmir Mukhametov, and Ruslan Maulemberdiev were killed.
