The number of injured in the attack on the convoy in the train at the Murtazovo station has risen to four.

Two of the four victims of the attack by an inmate on the guards in the train near the Murtazovo station in Kabardino-Balkaria are in serious condition, while the other two are in moderate condition.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on the evening of October 2, one of the inmates being transported on the train from Vladikavkaz to Adler fatally wounded a guard and injured three other FSIN employees near the Murtazovo station in Kabardino-Balkaria. He was killed in the shootout. It was previously reported that one of the three FSIN employees is in serious condition after the attack, while the other two are in moderate condition. According to a source, the attack was carried out by inmate Dmitry Pushkarev.

In total, four FSIN employees were injured during the attack by the inmate on the train from Vladikavkaz to Adler, as reported today by RIA "Novosti" citing the Ministry of Health of the republic.

"As a result of the incident on the train from Vladikavkaz to Adler, four victims were admitted to medical organizations in the Kabardino-Balkar Republic. Medical staff promptly provided all necessary assistance to the victims, including performing surgical interventions. At the moment, the lives of the victims are not in danger," TASS quoted the agency's message today.

The condition of two patients is assessed by doctors as serious, and the other two as moderate, the republican Ministry of Health clarified.

It should be noted that initially sources reported about a prison riot and the taking of guards hostage. Later, the FSIN denied the information about the riot and stated that the attack was carried out by one inmate. According to the agency's version, he seized the guard's service weapon, fatally wounded one employee, and injured three others.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Kabardino-Balkaria has opened a criminal case under articles on the theft of firearms, disorganization of the activities of institutions ensuring isolation from society, and attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.

Dmitry Pushkarev, who attacked the convoy on the train, was previously extradited from Georgia on charges of creating a criminal community and drug offenses, the source reported.
