The qualification of the criminal case against the former mayor of Krymsk has been changed.

The criminal case against the former mayor of Krymsk is being investigated under the article on abuse of official powers, while it was initiated under the article on exceeding powers.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the detained mayor of Krymsk, Yanis Budagov, has been charged with exceeding powers in the transfer of a land plot to a local resident.

The qualification of the charges against the former head of the Krymsk district of Kuban, Yanis Budagov, has been changed, reports "Morning South" on September 29.

The Budagov case is being considered by the Krymsk District Court of the Krasnodar Territory. According to updated information in the case file, he is charged under part 2 of article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of official powers), while previously the criminal case was investigated under paragraph "v" of part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (exceeding powers). If under the old article the maximum punishment is ten years of imprisonment, then under the new one it is seven years.

48-year-old Yanis Budagov worked as the deputy head of the rural administration since 2006, and in 2009 he headed the administration of the village. In 2017, Budagov became the head of Krymsk, and in 2022 he was re-elected.
