The court fined a previously detained observer from "Yabloko" in the Azov district.

The Soviet District Court of Rostov-on-Don fined Boris Miklyukov, a member of the regional council of the Rostov branch of "Yabloko," 100,000 rubles for petty hooliganism. He was previously detained at a polling station in the village of Yuzhny in the Azov district. The party intends to appeal the court's decision.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 17, masked security forces detained an observer at polling station No. 58 in the village of Yuzhny in the Azov district, Boris Miklyukov, a member of the regional council of the Rostov branch of "Yabloko."

The previously detained member of the regional council of the Rostov branch of the "Yabloko" party, observer at polling station No. 58 Boris Miklyukov, was convicted by the Soviet District Court of Rostov-on-Don on charges of petty hooliganism 1 , and was sentenced to an administrative fine of 100,000 rubles, reports the regional branch of the party on its Telegram channel.

According to party members, he was interrogated at police station No. 8 of the Soviet district until the court. Thus, the department staff misled party representatives about Miklyukov's whereabouts.

His phone and all equipment were seized, and phones were also confiscated from his parents. Reports about the initiation of a criminal case against Boris Miklyukov under the article on the distribution of pornographic materials, circulated by the "Southern News Service," are fake. Reports about his presence in the FSB department are also untrue.

"Currently, Boris Miklyukov is at home, he is not in danger. The lawyer is working on his further defense. The chairman of the Rostov regional branch of the "Yabloko" party, Alexey Popov, has already communicated with Boris and his mother. The party will support its member and will defend him by all legal means. The court's decision to impose a fine will be appealed," the message states.

As of 05:30 Moscow time on September 18, there are no comments on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Rostov region regarding the report of Boris Miklyukov's detention; however, according to the case card on the website of the Soviet District Court, Miklyukov's case of administrative offense was registered on September 17.

It should be noted that the Supreme Court of Russia canceled the registration of the federal list of "Yabloko" for the State Duma elections on August 10, and on August 17, the appellate panel upheld this decision.

This court decision only concerned candidates running on the federal list and did not affect candidates separately registered in single-member districts, explained earlier to a correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" lawyer Elena Marchenko. She pointed out that the presence of independent observers and representatives of candidates at polling stations is an important condition for protecting the election results.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that the Soviet District Court of Rostov-on-Don found Boris Miklyukov guilty on June 9, 2022, of public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the armed forces of Russia.
