Slyusar's report on the improvement of the garbage situation has drawn criticism from the residents of Don.

The situation with garbage removal in the Rostov region has improved, and information about the cleaned sites is being entered into the solid municipal waste accounting system, reported Governor Yuri Slyusar on Telegram. Residents of the region, commenting on his report, reported uncollected garbage, overflowing containers, and spontaneous dumps, stating that there has been no noticeable improvement in the situation.

Governor of the Rostov region Yuri Slyusar stated on his Telegram channel that enhanced control over the work of regional waste removal operators has yielded results. According to him, the number of complaints about overflowing container sites and schedule failures has decreased fourfold. In August, out of 185 specialized vehicles, 36-39 units were on the line, and now, according to the regional Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, almost all vehicles regularly go out for garbage removal.

Information about the operation of vehicles and cleaned sites is entered daily into the federal state information system for waste accounting, Slyusar indicated.

Residents questioned the governor's statement about the improvement in the garbage removal situation. "Stop lying, it has gotten worse," stated Serg Latish.

"You all keep controlling and holding meetings, but there is no result. Rostov-on-Don is mired in dirt," wrote Natalya.

"As far as I know, garbage is removed from time to time, but since one house has a garbage site, and the house next to it apparently does not, there simply isn't enough garbage site for everyone. There are also several cafes and small businesses nearby that also dump all their garbage there, resulting in ordinary residents of the house suffering, as they have nowhere to take their garbage, and because of this, rodents have multiplied <…>. This problem has existed literally since the house was completed, and no one can solve it. <…>" complained Denis Shlyakhov.

Other users provided specific examples of uncollected garbage and growing dumps. "Prospect M. Nagibina, 37 – garbage has not been removed since Saturday. For several days, concrete containers filled with garbage have been standing near the entrances of the house, gradually turning into spontaneous dumps. The building is multi-apartment – 216 apartments, six entrances," pointed out Anfima.

"In Novocherkassk, nothing has changed, it is getting worse. A mountain of garbage has been lying on Gaidar for over a month," wrote Alex Zark.

"At Nizhnenolnaya, 15 there is no result. A mountain has been lying for a week and is getting bigger every day," noted Konstantin.

Commentators also doubted the effectiveness of the separate waste collection that Slyusar called successful. "There were separate bins, but they were loaded into one truck," noted Olga.

"I saw with my own eyes how garbage from the yellow bins was dumped into the common container of the garbage truck," indicated Tatyana.

An employee of the regional waste removal operator responded to some of the users' complaints in the discussion. In response to a complaint about overflowing yellow containers, he stated that waste from them is removed as usual and asked to provide a specific address of the site. After a resident of Rostov-on-Don pointed out that the containers on Lenin Street, 105B had not been removed since July, the employee of the regional operator stated that he would send inspectors.

The employee of the regional operator also explained that if the container for plastic is predominantly filled with other fractions, including household waste, the waste is loaded into the body of a regular garbage truck.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that residents of the Rostov region periodically criticize the governor's publications on social networks regarding the resolution of various problems. For instance, on August 22, residents of Don pointed out the unpreparedness of some schools for the start of the school year after Yuri Slyusar's report on the completion of the preparation of educational institutions. On July 1, residents of the village of Krasny Krym stated that water appeared not on all streets after Slyusar's report on the restoration of water supply. On June 14, residents of Don criticized the regional head's report on tourism development, urging the authorities to first address the roads.
