The criminal case against Narek Karapetyan and Alik Aleksanyan has reached the court.

The criminal case against National Assembly deputy Narek Karapetyan and the head of the executive body of the "Strong Armenia" party, Alik Aleksanyan, has been submitted to the Anti-Corruption Court.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the Central Election Commission of Armenia has agreed to involve parliament deputy from "Strong Armenia" Narek Karapetyan as a defendant, but rejected the Prosecutor General's request for his arrest. Investigations against Karapetyan are underway regarding coercion to participate in a meeting using violence and money laundering on a particularly large scale. He has been assigned bail of 2.7 million dollars and is prohibited from leaving the country. The Investigative Committee of Armenia has also initiated a criminal case against 37 individuals listed in the case of the previously arrested Alik Aleksanyan. He is suspected of money laundering and bribing residents in the interests of Samvel Karapetyan.

The preliminary investigation into the criminal case against National Assembly deputy of Armenia Narek Karapetyan and the head of the executive body of the "Strong Armenia" party Alik Aleksanyan has been completed, and the case with an indictment has been submitted to the Anti-Corruption Court, reports 39 August News.am.

Aleksanyan has been in custody since June 3, and a preventive measure has been applied to Karapetyan in the form of a ban on absence and bail of one billion drams. Aleksanyan is charged with creating a criminal organization together with Narek Karapetyan and other individuals and leading it. Their goal was to secure a greater number of votes in favor of "Strong Armenia" and the block formed on its basis, as well as to create the impression of a large number of supporters of this political force. To this end, a public organization for the preservation of national values "In Our Way" was created, through which citizens were materially incentivized to participate in meetings and vote for "Strong Armenia". As a result of their actions, the state suffered significant property damage.

Let us remind you that the party "Civil Contract", led by the current Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, won the elections to the country's parliament. Commenting on its victory, Pashinyan stated that the three-headed party of war has been defeated (referring to the block "Strong Armenia", the block "Armenia", and the party "Prosperous Armenia").
