The court in Azerbaijan fined TikToker Javid Abbasov 700 manats for a video deemed obscene.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on July 27 in Baku, TikToker Magsad Bagirov was arrested for 10 days, and an administrative protocol was drawn up against him for unethical behavior on the internet. TikTokers Sanur Azizov and Myuzhgan Mamedzade were arrested for similar offenses, and on August 2 - TikToker Alikram Heydarov.

In Azerbaijan, TikToker Javid Abbasov was fined for posting obscene materials on social media, Oxu.az reports on August 15.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Abbasov created a video by adding obscene and vulgar inscriptions to his photograph. He posted the video on TikTok on the Qara qartal page, of which he is the administrator.

Abbasov was detained by the police, and a protocol was drawn up against him under Article 510.2 of the Administrative Offenses Code of Azerbaijan 1 . In court, he stated that he regretted his actions and was under the influence of alcohol at the time of creating the video. The court fined him 700 manats.

Let us remind you that at the beginning of the year, amendments to the law "On Information, Informatization and Protection of Information" came into force in Azerbaijan, establishing responsibility for the dissemination of content on the internet that contains "insult to public morality and open disrespect for society", as well as "obscene expressions, gestures, or demonstration of body parts in a manner contrary to moral norms and national-spiritual values".
