As reported by "Caucasian Knot", earlier the authorities and law enforcement officials officially recognized as killed in Ukraine at least 969 fighters from the Rostov region.

The serviceman of the assault unit Vyacheslav Shupikov was killed in the zone of the military operation. He was repeatedly awarded, including receiving the medal "For Courage" for saving his comrades and a letter of appreciation from the command of the military unit. Shupikov was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, the administration of Gukovo reported on its page in the social network "VKontakte".

Thus, at least 970 fighters from the Rostov region have been officially recognized as killed in the Special Military Operation.
