The rise in gasoline prices in Dagestan has led to an increase in gas prices.

Gas prices at Dagestani gas stations have started to rise following the price of gasoline, liquefied hydrocarbon fuel is sold for 45 rubles, which has significantly increased expenses, car owners reported. The Union of Entrepreneurs of Dagestan urged the authorities to take urgent measures to stabilize fuel prices.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the situation with the availability of gasoline in Makhachkala has improved, although many gas stations remain closed, but fuel prices are not decreasing, so residents have to limit their trips, Makhachkala residents told "Caucasian Knot". By July 8, queues at Makhachkala gas stations had decreased, but prices, according to drivers, remained high. Two days later, the price of gasoline at gas stations in Makhachkala continued to rise even in the absence of large queues: at one of the gas stations checked by "Caucasian Knot", it increased by ten rubles in two days. Fuel expenses for drivers have increased by at least several thousand rubles a month, Makhachkala residents reported.

Drivers complained about the rise in gas prices

If earlier the price of gas, which is used by many drivers to refuel their cars, remained stable, it sharply increased from July 16, car enthusiasts told the correspondent of "Caucasian Knot".

"Just a couple of days ago, gas cost 35 rubles per liter, today it is already 45 rubles. This is very noticeable for me," says Arthur.

"I drove around several gas stations, one had gas for 40 rubles, but there was a queue, I refueled for 45 rubles. There were no restrictions on gas sales here. Gasoline has also become more expensive, AI-95 costs 135 rubles, AI-92 – 130 rubles, for
several days it has increased by 15 rubles per liter," said Murad.

The Union of Entrepreneurs of Dagestan urged the authorities to intervene in the situation

On July 16, the Union of Entrepreneurs of Dagestan posted an appeal to the authorities on its Telegram channel, asking them to take urgent measures to stabilize fuel prices.

There are serious difficulties with hydrocarbon gas, the purchase prices for gas have sharply increased, supplies are irregular, and stocks at gas filling stations are gradually running out, the appeal stated.

The rise in prices is not about profit, but about the survival of the business.

"Gas filling stations face a tough choice: either sell at old prices and risk closing, or raise retail prices to continue operating and supplying the republic with fuel. Importantly: the rise in prices is not about profit, but about the survival of the business. Responsible officials must understand that for our region, liquefied hydrocarbon gas (LPG) is more important than liquid fuel. The Union of Entrepreneurs calls on the authorities to take measures to stabilize the market and ensure sufficient supplies. Gas station owners, for their part, promise to prevent unjustified price increases and do everything to keep fuel affordable," the publication stated.

As of 18:42 MSK on July 16, there are no comments regarding the situation with hydrocarbon gas supplies and the measures being taken to ensure fuel for Dagestani gas stations in the public channels of the Ministry of Energy of Dagestan and the regional government.

In Dagestan, gasoline prices have decreased by 25 percent over the month, the "Dagtoplivo" gas station association previously stated. Residents of the republic, commenting on this report from the association on social media, pointed out the ongoing fuel frenzy, queues at gas stations, and the real increase in fuel costs.
