A climber was rescued in the mountains of Azerbaijan.

A climber fell from a cliff near Mount Bazarduzu and suffered serious injuries. Rescuers brought him down the mountain and handed him over to doctors.

On the evening of June 28, the 112 hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan received a report of a climber falling from a cliff in the Guba district in the direction of Mount Bazarduzu.

Rescuers were dispatched to the scene. They discovered that climber Altay Dzhafarov fell from a cliff at an altitude of approximately 3,500-3,800 meters, sustained injuries of varying severity, and was in a life-threatening condition, Report.az reported today, June 29.

Climbers from the Special Risk Rescue Service provided first aid to the victim on the spot, after which he was evacuated from the rugged mountain terrain and handed over to emergency medical personnel, Oxu.az reports.

Previously, "Caucasian Knot" reported that three climbers went missing near the Tufandag ski resort in late 2017. They were found only in May 2018; all were dead. According to authorities, all died from hypothermia.
