The wife of Rostov developer Chabanov has been extradited from the UAE.

Nadezhda Chabanova, former CEO of the company Vant, has been extradited from the UAE to Russia on charges of fraud involving equity holders. Her husband, Valery Chabanov, was convicted in this case in 2017.

"Caucasian Knot" reported that Valery Chabanov, owner of the company Vant, was detained in Thailand and brought to Moscow by the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. In 2017, he was found guilty of embezzling funds from at least 235 equity holders and sentenced to four years in a penal colony. Chabanov's wife, Nadezhda, who is also a defendant in the case, was in the UAE. Her extradition was initially denied – her lawyer secured a ruling that, due to her age of 60, she could not be extradited to Russian law enforcement.

Former CEO of the Vant concern, Nadezhda Chabanova, was extradited from the UAE to Russia. She is accused of fraud in the construction of residential buildings in Rostov-on-Don, Donday.ru reported on June 12.

The extradition request was received from the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, and a decision was made to extradite Chabanova to Russia. She has already been brought back to the country to face criminal charges, Kommersant reports.
