The court confiscated the property of former judge Elena Khakhaleva.

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnodar has transferred the property of former Krasnodar Regional Court Judge Elena Khakhaleva, her family members, and associates to the state.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," in early June, the court received a petition from the ex-husband of Krasnodar Judge Elena Khakhaleva, who agreed to voluntarily transfer property belonging to him and his family to the state in connection with a lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia.

The court found that during her judicial term, Elena Khakhaleva used judicial mechanisms to distribute highly liquid agricultural land in the region in favor of companies controlled by her husband.

The family also illegally seized land of more than 12,500 hectares, which allowed them to continuously enrich themselves and acquire movable and immovable property, expensive vehicles, and luxury goods, the joint press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory reported on their Telegram channel.

It is noted that Elena Khakhaleva's sister, Natalia, who worked as a judge in the Arbitration Court of the Krasnodar Territory, personally assisted her husband Robert Khakhalev for exemption from paying multi-million ruble taxes on the activities of his companies.

"The defendants in the case include 20 individuals and two legal entities that are nominal holders of the family's assets, as well as participants in the laundering of property acquired through corruption," the press service said in a statement.

The court confiscated shares in the authorized capital of four commercial organizations, 73 land plots, and about 100 residential and non-residential buildings and premises, as well as cash in the defendants' accounts, totaling more than 15.5 million rubles, to the state.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that at the end of May, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation filed a lawsuit with the Tverskoy Court of Moscow to confiscate to the state the property of judges of the Fourth Cassation Court in Krasnodar, Olga Borisova and Olga Rich.
