More than 50 drones were shot down in the Rostov region.

Drone attacks were recorded last night in nine districts of the Rostov Region. Firefighters are continuing to extinguish a fire at a fuel storage facility in the Matveyevo-Kurgan District.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," last night a fuel storage facility belonging to a private enterprise in the Matveyevo-Kurgan District caught fire "due to falling UAV debris." Residents of nearby private homes were evacuated, Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar reported. In the village of Matveyevo-Kurgan, a pharmacy, two stores, and a car were damaged in an attack. There were no casualties.

More than 50 UAVs were destroyed during the repelling of a "massive drone attack" in the Rostov Region last night, Yuri Slyusar reported on his Telegram channel.

"Nine districts of the region were attacked: Krasnosulinsky, Chertkovsky, Millerovsky, Tarasovsky, Bokovsky, Verkhnedonskoy, Martynovsky, Matveyevo-Kurgansky, and Sholokhovsky," the official wrote, noting that firefighting efforts are ongoing in the Matveyevo-Kurgan District.

Filming aerial attacks and their aftermath, air defense operations, and military units is prohibited in the Rostov Region. The "Caucasian Knot" published the corresponding governor's decree.

As a reminder, on May 30, drones were shot down in Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, Salsk, and seven districts of the Rostov Region, including Matveyevo-Kurgansky. In Taganrog, two people were injured when a drone struck a private home, and a tanker, a fuel tank, and an administrative building caught fire at the port. City authorities received 21 complaints from residents regarding damaged glass in buildings and structures.

On May 27, a missile was destroyed in Taganrog. Two women were taken to the hospital, and authorities declared a local state of emergency. Missile debris from the fall caused cars to catch fire, and the boiler room was severely damaged. Its repair has been deemed impractical, and authorities are considering building a new modular boiler room.

Taganrog, home to the Beriev Aircraft Plant (Taganrog Aviation Complex), is regularly subject to air attacks. On April 19, three people were injured in a drone attack, and the grounds of the aircraft plant and park were cordoned off. Telegram users then called for the plant to be evacuated outside the city limits for the safety of residents.

According to official data, at least five people have been killed in Taganrog as a result of airstrikes since November 2025. . Reports of these incidents mentioned addresses located near the Beriev Aircraft Company.
