Repairing the boiler house damaged during the missile attack on May 27 has been deemed impractical. City authorities are considering constructing a new modular boiler house.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on May 27, a missile was shot down in Taganrog, according to authorities, injuring two people. Residents of several buildings were left without hot water as a result of damage to their boiler room. Authorities declared a local state of emergency.
The Taganrog administration has decided not to repair the city's boiler room, which was damaged in an air strike, Mayor Svetlana Kambulova announced on her Telegram channel on May 29.
According to Kambulova, experts believe that restoring the boiler room of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "City Economy" is impractical. Construction of a new modular boiler room is being considered as a solution. "We are currently exploring several options," she added.
She also said that a door-to-door inspection of damaged buildings has been completed, measurements are being taken to compile defect lists, and residents have been promised prompt replacement of their glazing.
