A court in Rostov-on-Don found a resident of Gorlovka guilty of treason.

The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Gorlovka resident Vladislav Gamzin to 17 years in prison, finding him guilty of treason and calls for terrorist activity.

According to the investigation, in July and October 2023, while in Gorlovka, Vladislav Gamzin posted text comments in a chat group calling for the assassination of the Russian president, and in May 2024, he posted a comment calling for the bombing of civilian targets.

In November 2024, he established contact with an unidentified person acting in the interests of Ukrainian intelligence. On his instructions, he collected information about the location of an artillery unit of the Russian Armed Forces and sent it to the aforementioned individual, the court's press service wrote on its Telegram channel on May 22.

The court found Gamzin guilty of committing three crimes under Part 2 of Article 205.2 and a crime under Article 275 of the Russian Criminal Code and sentenced him to 17 years' imprisonment in a maximum security penal colony.

Previously, "Caucasian Knot" reported that last September the court sentenced Gorlovka resident Anton Bondarenko to 16.5 years in a maximum security penal colony, finding him guilty of espionage and public calls for terrorist activity.
