A Stavropol resident was found guilty of participating in a terrorist organization.

The Southern District Military Court sentenced a 43-year-old Kislovodsk resident to 14 years in prison, finding him guilty of transmitting photos and videos of the "Visit Center of the Interactive Museum of History and Nature Park" to a terrorist representative.

According to the court and investigators, the 43-year-old man held radical extremist views. In 2025, he voluntarily joined an international terrorist organization.

On assignment from foreign curators, he conducted reconnaissance of the "Visit Center of the Interactive Museum of History and Nature Park" in Kislovodsk. Using a mobile phone, the man took photographs and recorded video of the building, and sent the resulting information to a representative of an illegal group, the press service of the Stavropol Krai Prosecutor's Office reported on its Telegram channel.

He was found guilty of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization 1 . "Considering the position of the state prosecutor, the court sentenced the defendant to 14 years' imprisonment, with the first three years to be served in prison and the remainder of the sentence to be served in a maximum-security penal colony," the supervisory agency said in a statement.

The court's verdict has not entered into legal force.

The prosecutor's office did not specify which terrorist organization was being referred to or what crimes the defendant planned to commit. The prosecutor's office noted that the defendant was a "follower of radical extremist views," without specifying what exactly those views were.

According to court records, the most recent verdict against the defendant under this article was handed down on May 20. The defendant's name is redacted from the case file for the case, which was submitted for consideration on April 14.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that the Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced a resident of Stavropol Krai to 10.5 years' imprisonment, finding him a member of a terrorist organization.
