Two fighters from Dagestan were killed in Ukraine.

Magomed Murtuzaliev and Jafar Abdurakhmanov from the Kayakent district were killed in combat in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 1,938 soldiers from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by May 15, at least 1,936 soldiers from Dagestan had been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

Authorities in the Kayakent district presented state awards to the relatives of the servicemen killed in the military operation, the state broadcaster "Dagestan" reported on its website on May 16.

The publication named Magomed Murtuzaliev and Jafar Abdurakhmanov as killed. Thus, at least 1,938 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.

The district administration reported on its Telegram channel about the district head's meeting with the families of the victims and the presentation of their awards. Municipal authorities emphasized that the deputy district head and heads of rural settlements also participated in the meeting.

The message is replete with condolences and verbose assurances of support, but it doesn't even include the names of the victims: officials limited themselves to information about the number of awards presented.
