An open fire at the Tuapse marine terminal has been extinguished, the Kuban task force reported on its Telegram channel at 9:52 a.m. Moscow time.

"Firefighters managed to contain the fire at 9:22 a.m. and subsequently extinguished the open flames. 143 people are working on the scene, with 25 pieces of equipment deployed," the publication states. "Caucasian Knot" cannot verify the authorities' information about the number of firefighters involved.

The head of the Tuapse District, Sergei Boyko, reposted the operational headquarters' publication on his Telegram channel without supplementing it with any other information.

As a reminder, the fire that started on May 1st was the fourth in Tuapse in two weeks. On April 28th, a drone attack caused a fire at an oil refinery, and on April 20th, another fire occurred at an oil terminal in the port. On the night of April 16th, a drone attack in Tuapse killed a 14-year-old girl and an adult woman, and injured seven others. A fire also broke out at the seaport; it was extinguished on April 19.
