Deported Khadzhi Bolat is going to strive for his return to historical home

On August 7 Khadzhi Bayram Bolat, an ethnic Adyg being a citizen of Turkey now, was deported from Nalchik to Istanbul by force. On August 15 a press-conference was held on the initiative of the regional branch of the Russian Public Movement "For Human Rights" in Kabardino-Balkaria and the Committee for Defense of Khadzhi Bolats' Rights created the day before.

The activist of the movement "For Human Rights" Valery Khatazhukov, who had personally assisted at the procedure of the Turkish citizen deportation as a person empowered to act for him, announced that the officials of law-enforcement organs had produced no documents entitling them to such violent acts.

He also said the fact that no public organization, including Adyg one, had advocate the compatriot is an evidence of the lack of development of civil society institutes in the republic.

Khadzhi Bolat himself, getting in touch by phone from Turkey during the press-conference, declared he intended to strive for his return to a historical home as his ancestors had left to him. Bolat had been living as a repatriate in Kabardino-Balkaria for 7 years in all.
