Two fighters from South Ossetia were killed in Ukraine.

Tamerlan Kozayev and Gennady Kokoyev, who were killed during the SVO, were buried in South Ossetia. At least 46 combatants from South Ossetia were killed in the fighting in Ukraine.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on March 17, Vadim Mamiyev, who was killed during the fighting in Ukraine, was buried in South Ossetia. At least 44 combatants from South Ossetia were killed during the special operation.

Tamerlan Kozaev (call sign Fortuna) and Gennady Kokoev, who were killed during the special military operation, were buried in Tskhinvali on March 22, according to a statement published on the website of the President of South Ossetia.

The funeral was attended by South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev, members of parliament led by Speaker Alan Margiev, and the Russian Ambassador to the republic, Marat Kulakhmetov.

Kozaev was 28 years old and had not yet started a family. He was posthumously awarded the "Defender of the Fatherland" medal. Kokaev was 49 years old and left behind a son, also posthumously awarded the "Defender of the Fatherland" medal.

Thus, at least 46 fighters from South Ossetia have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
