A 55-year-old housewife from Akhuryan has been arrested for one month after reporting to police about a fake account created in her name and accused of inciting violence for a post about Nikol Pashinyan.

A local resident of Akhuryan has been arrested for a post about Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The 55-year-old housewife has been charged with inciting violence for posting a social media post about the prime minister that she did not even write. According to the lawyer, the woman went to the police to file a complaint about a fake Facebook account* opened in her name. When she returned to the police to find out how her complaint was being handled, she was detained, News.am reported on February 23, citing the housewife's lawyer.

The woman was brought to court in handcuffs and detained for one month.

Previously, "Caucasian Knot" reported that last May, a Yerevan resident was suspected of publicly calling for violence due to a comment under an article about Nikol Pashinyan's surrender of the country's territories.
