The case of a Kuban resident beating his children has reached court.

A resident of the Otradnensky District of Krasnodar Krai is accused of systematic violence and depriving children of education.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," social media users were outraged by the suspended sentence given to Tamila Mutsolgova, a resident of Ingushetia, whose four-year-old daughter died after prolonged torture in 2023. The child's death caused a major stir in Ingushetia: numerous sources testified that the girl was subjected to brutal, sexualized violence, something that official sources did not mention. Human rights activists demand that inactive child protection officials be held accountable.

A Kuban resident who beat his children with a metal stick, a stun gun, and stood them on peas will stand trial, RIA Novosti quotes a statement from the Investigative Committee for Krasnodar Krai.

"The Novokubansky Interdistrict Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for Krasnodar Krai has completed the investigation of a criminal case against a 32-year-old man. He is accused of torturing his 10-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son (paragraphs "a and c" of Part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code) and improperly fulfilling his responsibilities for their upbringing (Article 156 of the Criminal Code)," the statement reads.

According to the regional Investigative Committee, the children have been removed from their family and are under guardianship. "During the investigation, the accused admitted his guilt," the department noted.

The children lived with their father; their mother died of COVID-19. To hide the signs of beatings from others, he kept the children from school, according to the Kuban 24 online portal.
