Eight drones were shot down in two regions of the Southern Federal District.

Last night, the military shot down four drones in the Rostov region and the same number in the Astrakhan region. Another 48 drones were shot down over the Black and Azov Seas.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," last night, an air attack was repelled in two districts – Sholokhovsky and Kasharsky, Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar reported. He did not specify whether the air attack was carried out using drones or other means.

From 11:00 PM Moscow time to 7:00 AM Moscow time, air defense alert systems destroyed and intercepted 99 Ukrainian drones, including four in the Rostov Region and four in the Astrakhan Region, the Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel.

According to the ministry, another 47 drones were shot down over the Black Sea and one over the Sea of Azov. The rest were destroyed in the Belgorod and Kursk Regions and in Crimea.

As of 9:07 AM Moscow time, Yuri Slyusar had not published any new information on the aftermath of the attack on his Telegram channel. Astrakhan Region Governor Igor Babushkin has not yet reported the drone attack on his Telegram channel.

As a reminder, on January 14, an aerial attack caused fires in homes and an industrial facility in Rostov-on-Don. One person was killed and four, including a four-year-old child, were hospitalized with injuries. That day, the military reported shooting down 25 drones in the region.
