The Head of the Affairs of the Head and Government of Ingushetia has decided to resign voluntarily after the seizure of illegally acquired property worth 80 million rubles.

As reported by Kavkazsky Knot, at the end of November, a court confiscated the property of the Head of the Affairs of the Head and Government of Ingushetia and his relatives. The value of the assets is estimated at more than 80 million rubles.

Ruslan Tambiev announced to colleagues his decision to resign from his position as Chief of Staff of the Head of Government of Ingushetia, Interfax reported today, citing regional law enforcement agencies.

The source did not confirm the information about criminal proceedings against the high-ranking official.

Earlier, the press service of the republic's prosecutor's office reported that an investigation had established that close relatives of the Chief of Staff of the Head of Government acquired six vehicles, three apartments, two houses, 11 land plots, and two parking spaces in the Moscow region and Ingushetia. However, there is no evidence that they were acquired with legitimate income, the publication previously reported.

As of 6:15 p.m., Ingushetia's head, Kalimatov, has not commented on the prosecutor's office's submission, and the Ingush government has not announced any personnel changes in this regard.

The "Caucasian Knot" also reported that a Moscow district court granted the Prosecutor General's Office's request to forfeit the homes and foreign cars of Magomed and Ilyas Kushtov, employees of the Ingush Federal Tax Service, suspected of abuse of power resulting in multimillion-dollar damages.
