A fighter from Dagestan was killed in the SVO zone
Shakir Chubanov from the Magaramkent district was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, officials have publicly named at least 1,727 Dagestani servicemen killed there.
As the " Caucasian Knot " reported , by December 16, at least 1,726 fighters from Dagestan had been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
The Magaramkent district administration announced the presentation of the Order of Courage to the widow of Shakir Chubanov, who was killed in the military operation, on its Telegram channel.
"District Head Nariman Razhidinovich Efendiev presented the state award "Order of Courage" (posthumously) to Amanet Muradovna Chubanova, the widow of special military operation participant Shakir Enverovich Chubanov," the district administration said in a statement.
The administration did not provide details of the soldier's biography or death in the statement.
Thus, at least 1,727 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list is based on data officially released by government officials and security agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report " North Caucasus Military District Statistics: Casualties Mounting in Southern Russia ."
