The court has authorized the seizure of the homes and cars of detained Ingush tax officials
The Moscow District Court granted the Prosecutor General's Office's request to forfeit the homes and foreign cars of Magomed and Ilyas Kushtov, employees of the Ingush Federal Tax Service, suspected of abuse of power resulting in multimillion-dollar damages.
As reported by the " Caucasian Knot ," on December 3, it was reported that the Gagarinsky District Court of Moscow received a lawsuit from the Prosecutor General's Office, demanding that the property and vehicles of Ilyas and Magomed Kushtov and their relatives be forfeited to the state. The lawsuit specifically names three residential properties in Moscow, three land plots, residential and non-residential properties in Ingushetia and North Ossetia, as well as Mercedes, BMW, Toyota Land Cruiser, and GMC Yukon vehicles. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the value of the Kushtovs' property significantly exceeds their official income.
On November 10, it was announced that Ilyas Kushtov, an employee of the Federal Tax Service for Ingushetia, had been transferred from pretrial detention to house arrest . He was detained in late May and arrested on charges of abuse of power, resulting in damages of 137 million rubles. Two other tax service employees were also arrested in connection with the same case. According to investigators, between 2020 and 2022, the Federal Tax Service employees knowingly submitted false information into the information system regarding desk audits and the absence of violations in the actions of legal entities.
Moscow's Gagarinsky Court has seized the property and luxury cars of former employees of the Federal Tax Service for Ingushetia, a court press officer reported.
"The court considered the anti-corruption lawsuit filed by the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation against former employees of the Federal Tax Service of Russia for the Republic of Ingushetia, Magomed Kushtov, Ilyas Kushtov, and their relatives. The court decided to grant the plaintiff's claims in full," TASS quoted him as saying today.
As a reminder, Magomed Kushtov served in the Ingush Federal Tax Service for 24 years, including as its head from 2019 to November 1, 2025. Ilyas Kushtov holds the position of deputy head of the department within this department.
