The prosecution demanded a 4.5-year prison sentence for the former vice-mayor of Krasnodar
Vsevolod Netreba expressed his remorse at today's court hearing.
As reported by the " Caucasian Knot ," Krasnodar Deputy Mayor Vsevolod Netreba was arrested after searches of the city administration building, during which money and documents were seized. In April, a fraud case was opened against him .
The former deputy head of Krasnodar has been charged under Part 3 of Article 30 to Part 4 of Article 159 of the Russian Criminal Code (attempted fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale, or resulting in the deprivation of a citizen's right to residential premises). This provision of the law carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
At today's hearing in the Pervomaisky District Court, the state prosecutor requested a sentence of 4.5 years in a general-regime penal colony and a fine of 1 million rubles without restriction of liberty for Vsevolod Netreba. The prosecutor also clarified that Netreba had fully admitted his guilt, had assisted in the investigation, and was the parent of children, RIA Novosti reports.
The former deputy mayor's lawyer stated that the defendant repented of his actions and cooperated with the investigation. The defense argues that Netreba should not be isolated from society.
"I repent of what I did, and the rest is up to you," 93.ru quotes the official as saying in the courtroom.
It should be noted that, according to the investigation, in April 2025, during the Krasnodar City Duma election campaign, Netreba promised to assist Kirill Pertsev, the head of the legal department of the Krasnodar administration and then a candidate for the city duma, in exchange for 4.6 million rubles. He received 2 million rubles from Pertsev as part of the promised sum, but was unable to fulfill his promise after being detained by the Federal Security Service (FSB).
