A soldier from the Rostov region was killed in the SVO zone.

The Krasnosulinsky District Administration of the Rostov Region announced the unveiling of a memorial plaque to Sergei Bespalov at Sadovskaya School on its Telegram channel.

"A Krasnosulin resident died in the village of Bogorodnichnoe in the Donetsk Region while on a combat mission as a result of mortar shelling," the administration said in a statement.

Bespalov was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, the administration clarified.

Thus, at least 779 soldiers from the Rostov Region have been officially recognized as killed in the war zone in Ukraine. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation.
