Four soldiers from the Volgograd region were reported killed in action.

Three contract soldiers and a mobilized soldier from the Kamyshinsky district were killed in combat operations in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 1,555 fighters from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed in it.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, by November 28, at least 1,551 fighters from the Volgograd region were officially recognized as killed in the military operation.

The number of fighters from southern Russia killed in Ukraine has reached 8050

Dmitry Mordvinov, a contract soldier born in 1998 from the village of Verkhnyaya Gryaznukha, was killed in a military operation, the Kamyshinsky District Administration reported on its website on November 25. "His mother and brother live in Verkhnyaya Gryaznukha," the publication stated.

On the same day, a farewell ceremony for Nikolai Belyakov was held in the village of Umet. "Private Nikolai Nikolaevich Belyakov, born in 1966, served under contract and was killed while carrying out combat missions in a special military operation," the district administration reported.

On November 19, the village of Vikhlyantsevo held the funeral of contract soldier Artem Pigalev, born in 1994, who was killed "while carrying out combat missions in a special military operation," the district administration reported earlier on its website.

On November 20, a farewell ceremony was held in the same village for Junior Sergeant Alexander Koryagin, a mobilized soldier born in 1987, according to the same publication.

The Governor stated that 379 Volgograd residents were erroneously mobilized

After Putin announced a "partial mobilization" in September 2022, attempts to mobilize people who, due to their age or health, should not be sent to the combat zone were recorded in the Volgograd Region, as well as other regions in southern Russia. The Governor acknowledged that many of those mobilized do not meet the criteria established by Putin. However, the regional governor's statement did not affect the mobilization regime in Volgograd.

Thus, at least 1,555 soldiers from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially released by government officials and security agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "Northern Military District Statistics: Losses Are Mounting in Southern Russia."

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on Channel One do not guarantee state support for the families of those killed, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "Three Comrades Served: How Authorities Are Depriving Families of Killed Volunteers of Benefits," which describes the stories of fighters from other regions.
