Makhachkala officials are under investigation for negligence.

Investigators have opened a case against Makhachkala administration officials for failing to demolish an unauthorized structure.

According to investigators, in February 2025, during an on-site inspection, a violation of urban planning legislation was recorded related to an unauthorized structure in Makhachkala.

The city administration commission drew up a corresponding report, but officials failed to take action to demolish the unauthorized structure. "As a result of official inaction during construction, the only access road to a family's home was blocked, thereby violating the legally protected rights and legitimate interests of citizens," the republic's Investigative Committee's official Telegram channel reported today.

Earlier, "Caucasian Knot" reported that investigators opened a case against Makhachkala administration officials following complaints from residents of the Uchkhoz microdistrict about the state of the roads.
