A fighter from Dagestan was killed in a military operation.

Ibrahim Nutsalkhanov from Yuzhno-Sukhokumsk was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have publicly named at least 1,623 Dagestani soldiers killed there.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by October 28, at least 1,622 Dagestani soldiers had been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.

The name of the next soldier killed in Ukraine was released today by the Yuzhno-Sukhokumsk administration. Ibrahim Nutsalkhanov was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, the city administration announced today on its Telegram channel.

The mayor presented the serviceman's state award to Nutsalkhanov's wife and daughter, officials noted in a statement.
