Operations at four airports in southern Russia have been suspended.

The Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) has imposed restrictions on the operations of airports in Volgograd, Krasnodar, Gelendzhik, and Sochi to ensure security.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," late in the evening of October 18, restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft were imposed at Volgograd Airport. These restrictions were lifted only the following morning.

The Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) has imposed temporary restrictions on the operations of several airports in southern Russia. This was reported by the agency's press service representative, Artem Korenyako, on his Telegram channel.

Around 11:00 PM Moscow time on October 20, operations at Volgograd Airport were suspended. The statement, as previously, stated that the restrictions were imposed to ensure flight safety.

Literally an hour later, operations at Krasnodar Airport (Pashkovsky) were suspended, and an hour later, at Gelendzhik Airport. Finally, at around 2:00 AM Moscow time today, temporary restrictions were imposed on Sochi Airport.

As a reminder, a drone crashed into two private homes in Rostov-on-Don tonight. Two people were injured. One was treated at the scene, and the other was hospitalized. In Bataysk, the wall of a multi-story building on Zapadnoye Highway was partially destroyed, 20 people were evacuated.
