At least 7,700 fighters from southern Russia have been officially acknowledged as killed during the special military operation, including 3,823 from the North Caucasus Federal District and 3,877 from the Southern Federal District.

Serviceman Nukhbeg Omarov was killed in the military operation, and the Order of Courage was presented to his relatives, the Khasavyurt administration announced on its website on October 17. Details of the fighter's biography and death are not provided in the publication.
