A fighter from North Ossetia was killed in the SVO zone.

Vasily Marzoev was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 496 fighters from North Ossetia have been officially recognized as killed.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, by October 15, authorities and security forces reported at least 495 fighters from North Ossetia killed in the military operation.

Guard Lieutenant Vasily Marzoyev, commander of a reconnaissance platoon of the 108th Parachute Regiment of the 7th Airborne Assault Division, was killed while carrying out combat missions in the Zaporizhzhia direction, the head of North Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, announced today.

"Vasily is the son of the commander of the 18th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District, Lieutenant General Arkady Marzoyev, and the nephew of Stanislav Marzoyev, with whom we carried out missions together "During the counter-terrorism operation in the Caucasus. Unfortunately, Stanislav also died in the line of duty," Menyailo wrote on his Telegram channel, expressing condolences to the soldier's family.
