Krasnodar Airport Resumes Operations

The Russian Ministry of Transport announced the resumption of operations at the Krasnodar airport, the first flight will be carried out on September 17. Flights will be carried out only during the daytime. International flights are expected to resume by the end of the month.

As "Caucasian Knot" wrote, on July 9, the Ministry of Transport announced the opening of the Gelendzhik airport for domestic flights. The possibility of safe flights to the Gelendzhik airport has been confirmed by specialists from the Federal Air Transport Agency and the State Corporation for Air Traffic Management, the department reported. On July 18, the airport received the first flight. In the event of UAV attacks, the airport will temporarily cease operations.

Krasnodar Airport has been open to servicing flights since 09:00 Moscow time on September 11, the Ministry of Transport reported today.

Krasnodar Airport has not serviced aircraft since the end of February 2022 for safety reasons. Both terminals, the airfield and special equipment are currently in full readiness. In the summer of 2024, an additional taxiway was repaired here. The airport's landside area and terminal facades have been repaired, navigation in them has been improved, and the parking area has been updated, according to the department's Telegram channel.

Krasnodar airport will open on September 17, the city's mayor Yevgeny Naumov reported on his Telegram channel.

On September 17, the airport will receive the first Aeroflot flight from Moscow, the head of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev reported on his Telegram channel.

Flights can be operated daily, but only from 09:00 to 19:00, starting from September 11. There can be no more than five takeoffs and landings per hour, Rosaviatsia reported on its Telegram channel.

In addition to domestic flights, there will also be international flights. They will resume from the end of September. You can fly to at least Yerevan, Istanbul and Dubai. This list may expand.
