Traffic on highways in two districts of Dagestan disrupted after mudslides and rockfalls

Two roads in the Tsumadinsky District are closed to traffic after a mudflow, and in the Tlyaratinsky District, traffic on the highway is blocked after a rock slide.

A mudflow occurred in the Tsumadinsky District on the Agvali - Shauri - Kidero - Khvarshi highway, Dagestanavtodor reported today. "Motor vehicle traffic is temporarily closed. Clearing work is underway," the department's Telegram channel said.

In the same district, vehicle traffic is closed after a mudflow on the Nizhneye Khvarshini - Verkhneye Khvarshini highway. "One piece of equipment, an excavator, is being transferred to the site for clearing," the department explained.

In the Tlyaratinsky District, vehicle traffic is closed on the Khidib - Noyrukh highway, where "a rock slide occurred on a section of 1 km." "Clearing work is underway. One piece of equipment is involved - a bulldozer," Dagestanavtodor reported.
