The elderly residents of Tyrnyauz began repairing the pedestrian bridge across the river, and the mayor's office limited itself to praise and a promise to install lighting on the bridge. The authors of comments in Telegram suggested that the repair of the city infrastructure should be provided by the authorities.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, in 2023 only after complaints from local residents, the authorities repaired the suspension pedestrian bridge in Nartan, partially destroyed by the flood.

The city administration reported on the initiative of the residents of Tyrnyauz on September 6 in its Telegram channel.

"Active pensioners of our city took up the repair of the pedestrian bridge. The city administration also supported the initiative and planned a complete painting of the structure and the installation of decorative lighting. Joint work really brings tangible results. The publication is illustrated with photographs and videos showing elderly men bringing building materials to the pedestrian bridge across the river and laying boards on the bridge path. The men step over the areas not covered with boards without using safety equipment.

As of 08.54 Moscow time, eight comments have been posted under the publication. The authors of some of them were outraged by the role of the mayor's office in the repair of the building.
