Posting leaflets resulted in terrorism charges for a 17-year-old resident of Kuban
After posting propaganda leaflets on the streets of Novorossiysk, security forces arrested a young man on charges of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization.
As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, security forces in Karachay-Cherkessia suspected Kazan activist Guzel Kasimova of posting announcements about an impending terrorist attack. Kasimova and a pensioner from Stavropol, Stalina Erlenbakh, who came to Cherkessk to search for Kasimova, were detained in November 2024. According to the defense, the court's decision is unfounded, since it is based on assumptions that are not supported by any documents.
Investigators have charged a 17-year-old resident of Slavyansk-on-Kuban with participating in the activities of a terrorist organization, the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Krasnodar Krai reported on its Telegram channel. At the request of the investigation, he was remanded in custody; the term of his arrest is not specified.
According to the department, the teenager entered into correspondence via a messenger with a person presumably located in Ukraine. On the evening of July 26, the minor pasted homemade leaflets on the parapet along the embankment near the Marine Station in Novorossiysk, "justifying the ideology of terrorism and calling for violent crimes." The specific content of the materials in the message is not given, and the terrorist organization to which his interlocutor belonged in the messenger is not reported.
The department's message includes a short video in which the teenager, whose face is hidden, agrees with the content of the accusation. "I admit my guilt," he says.
It should be noted that the case against the teenager was opened under Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of a terrorist organization), which provides for imprisonment for a term of ten to twenty years.
