Sochi residents called the direct line with the head of Sochi Andrei Proshunin a profanation, stating that they were unable to ask their questions or did not receive answers to them.

On August 28, a direct line was held with the head of Sochi Andrei Proshunin, his deputies and heads of districts.

According to the press service of the mayor's office, it "lasted almost four hours." A representative of the administration called this event "The first direct line of the head of Sochi." Citizens asked questions via the Internet and through the call center, some recorded video messages. Also present in the studio were representatives of federal, regional and city media, teachers, youth activists, and SVO veterans.

"The questions asked by Sochi residents concerned the construction of new educational facilities, support measures for teachers, SVO participants, large families, road repairs, utility networks, the opening of new youth centers and the improvement of parks in the districts. Over the course of a week, dozens of questions from all districts about the city's future plans for the development of paid parking space and preferences for local residents were received on the direct line. The head of Sochi, Andrei Proshunin, said that the cost of paid parking for Sochi residents will be reduced by 10 times thanks to the introduction of new advance parking permits. In total, during the Direct Line, the head of Sochi answered 35 questions from city residents," the press service of the city administration noted. They believe that the Head and his team "did a good job of fulfilling the goals and objectives of the direct line and answered the main questions that worried Sochi residents."

On the first more than 1,200 questions were received on the direct line

According to the press service, "more than 1,200 questions were received on the first direct line, accepted by the call center and recorded on the MCU Internet platforms." "All of them have been transferred to the relevant departments of the administration for work, applicants will definitely receive a detailed official response," the press release from the mayor's office says.

However, Sochi residents criticized the holding of the direct line. On August 30, some city residents received a response from the city administration to their questions. They called this response "another formal reply."

Sochi residents interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent said that the direct line is a profanation against the backdrop of the upcoming elections of deputies to the local legislative organ.

I consider the head's direct line to be a fiction and a profanation against the backdrop of the upcoming elections in September

“I consider the head's direct line to be a fiction and a profanation against the backdrop of the upcoming elections in September. I know that not only I, but also other people could not get through to this direct line, since there was an answering machine that sent calls to other addresses. I personally wrote two appeals to the electronic reception, which was indicated in the advertisement for the direct line, and I do not even expect an answer, since officials strictly adhere to the deadlines for formal replies - one month. The elections will end and that's it!” - former member of the election commission, activist of the Zarechny and Zavokzalny microdistricts Elena Didenko is sure.

She said that for many years she has been fighting with the MUP "Teploenergo", which inflates tariffs and charges for services not rendered, for example, "heating of entrances", where there are not even radiators. "I submitted a collective statement through the electronic reception of the head with the same question with which I have already addressed him more than ten times individually. In July, more than two hundred people signed against the illegal extortions of the MUP "Teploenergo" for services not rendered. Since then, twice as many have signed, and I again sent this appeal to the direct line. No one has given us an intelligible answer as to why they charge us for heating unheated entrances, but the collection of money through receipts continues, and no one is going to solve these problems,” Didenko said.

They don’t even read my letters

Lyudmila Savelyeva, who was evicted onto the street with her children and grandchildren before the Olympics, said that she and her family members also tried to call the city mayor’s hotline, just as she had tried many times to call the Russian president’s hotline, but all in vain. “They don’t even read my letters. They send them from the Presidential Administration to the regional administration, and from there to Sochi. And in Sochi they write to me that I’m supposedly not entitled to an apartment. And the same thing is already 15th year! So who needs these hotlines and why, if the whole system doesn’t work and human rights, laws and the Constitution of the Russian Federation are not respected. The Constitution says that I have the right to housing, but in fact, they took my own housing away from me for the Olympics and gave me nothing in return, although I’ve even been on the waiting list for 50 years! But no one cares about me, my family, or anyone who turns to them,” she said.

Residents of houses on Novoselov Street, who wanted to inquire about the situation with the cancellation of playground repairs, also couldn’t get through to the hotline. “We decided to try our “luck” on the head’s hotline on August 28. We couldn’t get through. However, we managed to send a message through the Telegram channel. The answer came 15 minutes later, that they had already told us that we should repair our playgrounds ourselves. They also wrote that with "the contract was terminated by an unscrupulous contractor." And if he had been "scrupulous," then what? Were they forced to tear down the playgrounds that he would have made for us at the specified time, or were they obliged to pay for them ourselves? And what about the 47 million allocated for the repair of the playgrounds? Where did they go? Everyone is silent. Even the prosecutor's office and the Investigative Committee, which we contacted," said Veronika Popova.

A resident of the Gagarinsky microdistrict Sergey Kyaskov is also disappointed with the direct line. According to him, he also could not get through to the direct line, but he managed to send a collective message about the situation with the management company "Uprava" charging 10-12 times higher bills for common house needs. He received an answer within a few minutes from the direct line that residents should contact the housing department inspection of Krasnodar.

However, a resident of Sochi Alexander immediately addressed Sergey Kyaskov himself with an identical problem in the direct line chat. “Please keep the residents informed. We have the same situation on Pervomayskaya Street, 27. They charge huge amounts for electricity for common house needs. It seems that they are trying to deceive us using the same scheme,” he wrote.

I am disappointed in the local authorities

A mother of many children Elena Baranetskaya, who, along with other parents, has already gone to court on the fact of abuse of their children in the Adler kindergarten, also tried to call the head, but in vain. “We wrote dozens of statements to the head, since the kindergarten where our children were abused is municipal, but there was zero reaction. The headmistress continues to “educate” our children with her “staff”. I am disappointed in the local authorities and, frankly speaking, I did not expect anything from this advertised hotline except a formal release of steam from the people tired of the lawlessness of officials,” she admitted.
