80 volunteers responded to the call to help extinguish the fire near Gelendzhik

Volunteers help deliver water to extinguish the fire in the most difficult areas.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, the Gelendzhik administration asked for volunteers to respond to fight the forest fire. Volunteers were invited both with personal transport and for an organized trip by bus. The authorities explained that volunteers must have closed shoes, clothing that protects the body from fire, a headdress, if available - a backpack fire extinguisher and drinking water.

To extinguish the fire in difficult areas, water is being transferred manually with the involvement of volunteers. A total of 539 people are involved in extinguishing the fire, including 80 volunteers who came to help fight the fire. Volunteer groups formed this morning were provided with food, water and sent to the fire extinguishing zone in the area of the village of Krinitsa, the mayor of Gelendzhik Alexey Bogodistov reported on his Telegram channel.

According to the official, more than 42 hectares of forest were burned in the Pshad district of Gelendzhik. "The area of active combustion, according to the regional Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergencies, does not exceed 500 m2," the Telegram channel says.

The publication is accompanied by a video in which volunteers equipped with hand-held fire extinguishers, dressed mainly in T-shirts, shorts and light shoes, head to the extinguishing zone.

Recall that in Gelendzhik, in the area of the village of Krinitsa, after the fall of the wreckage of the drone on the night of August 28, a fire occurred in the forest. The fire that broke out in the Pshad forestry has covered 3.2 hectares. 23 tourists have been evacuated by boat.
